Level of Membership of GNAAP

Article 18 of GNAAP Constitution

18.0   Level of Membership
18.1. Associate level
Members who have completed ADR training from other training Institutes, other than IPLS, upon application may be admitted to the membership of GNAAP.

18.2. Honorary Level
Members who are admitted for their services rendered to the association.

18.3. Standard 1
Persons who have completed the 40 hours robust training in ADR at the Institute of Paralegal Training and Leadership Studies (IPLS), and are admitted into the association.

18.4. Standard 2
Persons/Members who have completed 120 hours or more robust training in ADR at the Institute of Paralegal Training and Leadership Studies (IPLS).

18.5. Premium
Members who have attained proficiency in ADR, and have resolved cases not less than 100 cases, with standard enforceable terms of settlement and awards filed at GNAAP, and being reviewed by the board over a five years of practice.

Note: Every member of GNAAP who mediates/Arbitrates a case shall as a matter of urgency file a copy of the terms of settlement or awards for review, quality check and possible actions.

Who We Are

GNAAP is a Prestigious Regulatory Body of ADR Professionals (Mediators, Arbitrators, Negotiators, Conciliators, Customary Arbitrators etc.) in Ghana incorporated under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179) as amended the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) as a private Company limited by guarantee, on 27th May, 2014. After meeting the statutory requirements, GNAAP was duly registered as a Professional Body in accordance with the provisions of the Professional Bodies Registration Decree, 1973 (NRCD 143) on 17th January, 2022.
